Purpose:

Introduces the concept of exploration through the seven traditional reasons that express why humans have always been explorers.

Brief Description:

Each team is given a paragraph and a letter. They are to summarize the ideas in the paragraph with one sentence that begins with their assigned letter.

E - Exploring our solar system satisfies the American need for adventure!
X - Exploration leads to a better future.
P - Pluralistic participants planning purposeful planetary projects promote (prosperity?) and peace
L - Locations of new land enable life enhancement by discovery of improved resources for energy.
O - Observation orients our objective.
R - Recognizing the reality of reduced resources really promotes research and risk-taking into remote regions.
E - Exploration is a result of human curiosity. Earthlings are enticed to explore everything enthusiastically.
